Tom Gillis Kick ass bass grooves. Chill jungle/tribal influenced beats. Just enough of a dub/reggae undertone to keep it interesting Favorite track: Funktion.

about

Third EP by Sub Liquid, an analog adventure of minimally produced Trip Hop and more using a host of vintage audio gear- most notably a Roland Space Echo re-201 tape delay and a Rhodes 73 Stage 1. All live recorded first takes over a two week period provided all the materiel for this album.

Minimally produced, each song was written in one session and heavily influenced by the soundtrack to Rene Laloux’s film ‘Fantastic Planet’ by Alain Goraguer.

Super special thanks to Eric James for letting me use and abuse his RE-201 for this project, Christopher French for use of his amazing Rhodes, and StepBit for a bang up job on the mastering of the album!
